Great to meet you!

I'm Amy Gregorie, an LPC based in Charleston, SC, with a Master's in Counselor Education from The Citadel and training in CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. I spent my early career as a school counselor, which gave me a deep understanding of how emotional patterns take root and how to help people shift them. I now work exclusively with women navigating anxiety, life transitions, burnout, and self-worth. My approach is warm and direct - I'm not a blank-slate therapist. I'll challenge you when it matters, sit with you when it doesn't, and stay genuinely invested in your life between sessions, not just during them.

My approach to therapy

My approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT to help clients understand the patterns driving their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors - and build real tools to shift them. I'm direct and engaged in session - I won't just reflect things back at you, I'll name what I'm noticing, ask the honest questions, and help you connect the dots. Whether we're working through anxiety that won't quiet down, a season of life that knocked you sideways, or patterns you've been carrying since long before you could name them - the goal is the same: real, lasting change that holds up outside the therapy room.

What you can expect from me

The first session is yours. You don't need to have the right words, a clear problem, or any idea what you're looking for - that's what we figure out together. I'll ask questions, listen closely, and help you start to make sense of what you're carrying, so that by the time we wrap up you feel more clarity, not more overwhelmed. Most of my clients leave the first session feeling better about themselves than when they walked in - not because we solved anything, but because being genuinely heard has a way of doing that on its own. My goal for our first hour is simple: that you leave feeling like this was worth it, and like you actually want to come back.
