What you can expect from me

During your first appointment, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. My goal is to get to know you as a whole person and understand your unique experiences, concerns, and goals for your mental health.

Here’s what typically happens during our initial visit:

  • Comprehensive Assessment: I will ask about your current symptoms, mental health history, medical background, family history, and any previous treatments or medications. This helps me gain a complete picture of your needs.
  • Open Conversation: You’ll have the opportunity to share your concerns, ask questions, and discuss what you hope to achieve through treatment. I encourage open communication and want you to feel comfortable expressing yourself.
  • Collaborative Planning: Together, we’ll discuss possible next steps, which may include further evaluation, therapy options, medication management, or referrals to other resources. I believe in shared decision-making and will work with you to develop a personalized care plan.
  • Education and Support: I’ll provide information about your diagnosis, treatment options, and what to expect moving forward. My aim is to empower you with knowledge and support as you begin your mental health journey.

You can expect compassion, respect, and a commitment to helping you achieve your best possible mental health.
