Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 12 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s emotional and relational challenges. I often work with clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship or family conflict, parenting or postpartum concerns, immigration stress, body image struggles, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and existential questioning. I believe therapy should be a safe and supportive space where you can explore your emotions, understand your experiences, and feel truly heard. My work is guided by a feminist, social justice, and humanistic perspective, which means I aim to honor your unique story while recognizing the broader systems and experiences that shape our lives.

My approach to therapy

In our work together, we may explore past experiences—such as childhood and family dynamics—to better understand patterns that still affect you today. We will also focus on practical tools and strategies to help you navigate current challenges. I often incorporate evidence-based approaches like mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Therapy can be challenging, and it takes courage to say, “I need help.” I strive to meet every client with openness, compassion, and a nonjudgmental perspective. I also believe that moments of humor and lightness can be an important part of the healing process. My goal is to walk alongside you as you move through difficult moments and towards greater self-understanding and authenticity.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other. I’ll invite you to share what is bringing you to therapy and what challenges you’ve been facing. We’ll also talk about what you hope to gain from therapy and explore possible goals for our work together. This first meeting is a chance for us to begin building a comfortable and trusting space. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting—just showing up is a meaningful first step.
