Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome. I'm Amy Haas, a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and behavioral challenges.

Throughout my career, I've worked with individuals from many different walks of life-from youth involved in the juvenile justice system to formally incarcerated adults rebuilding their lives. These experiences taught me that people are far more than the hardest thing they've been through or the labels they've been given.

I believe meaningful therapy starts with authenticity, trust, and genuine connection. My goal is to help you feel understood, build on your strengths, and create lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in authenticity. I believe therapy works best when you can show up as your real self without fear of judgment.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based strategies, and strengths-based interventions. I tailor therapy to each individual, balancing compassion with honest feedback, practical tools, and meaningful accountability.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and determine whether we're a good fit. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you're facing, and what you hope to gain from the process.

You don't need to have everything figured out before you arrive. My goal is to create a comfortable, judgment-free environment where you can share at your own pace. Together, we'll begin identifying strengths, setting goals, and developing a plan that feels realistic and meaningful for you.
