Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome! I'm Amy Haas, a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 20 years of experience helping children, adolescents, adults, families, and veterans navigate anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and behavioral concerns.

Throughout my career, I've worked with people from many different walks of life, from youth involved in the juvenile justice system to formally incarcerated adults rebuilding their lives, as well as children and families in schools, intensive in-home programs, and community mental health. Those experiences reinforced something I believe deeply: people are far more than the hardest thing they've been through or the labels they've been given.

I believe meaningful therapy starts with authenticity, trust, and genuine connection. My goal as a therapist is to help you feel understood, build on your strengths, and create lasting positive change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in authenticity. I believe therapy works best when you can show up as your real self without fear of judgment.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based strategies, and strengths-based interventions.

Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to each individual, balancing compassion with honest feedback, practical tools, and meaningful accountability. Together we'll focus on building skills that support lasting growth both inside and outside of therapy.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and determine whether we're a good fit. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you're facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together.

You don't need to have everything figured out before you arrive. My goal is to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where you can share at your own pace. Together, we'll identify your strengths, begin setting meaningful goals, and develop a plan that feels realistic, personalized, and hopeful.
