Great to meet you!
Hello! My name is Amy, and I am happy you are here.
I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Massachusetts. I earned my mental health degree, specializing in addiction, from Cambridge College in 2014. I began working in the field in 2012, when I began my graduate school education. Over the past several years, I have worked in many different treatment facilities and have experience with addiction, depression, anxiety, acute psychotic disorders, and family therapy. I most align with person-centered therapy, emphasizing the importance of a working relationship between the client and therapist, in addition to keeping your goals as the main focus. Additionally, I practice cognitive behavioral therapy to help change and challenge thought patterns to help you become your best self. Therapy works best when given 100% effort, and this is accomplished when both the client and the therapist work equally as hard to reach goals. I am here to work with you, to be your sound board, to help you manage and navigate your thoughts and feelings.
