Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional balance. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Lander University and my Master of Arts in Counseling from Webster University. I have also completed additional coursework in School Counseling at Clemson University, which has further strengthened my ability to support individuals across different stages of life.

My experience includes working with individuals facing anxiety, stress, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and relationship challenges. I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients develop practical coping skills and gain deeper insight into their experiences.

I believe therapy should be a supportive and collaborative process where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply seeking personal growth, I am here to help you move forward in a meaningful and positive way.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being open and honest about their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I believe that each person’s story is unique, so I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs and goals.

I primarily use evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies. These approaches help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while also developing practical tools to manage stress, reduce anxiety, and improve overall well-being.

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and relationship concerns. I also have a strong background in working with students and young adults, which allows me to support clients navigating academic, social, and personal pressures.

My goal is not only to help you work through current challenges, but also to equip you with skills and insights that you can carry with you long after therapy. Together, we will focus on building resilience, increasing self-awareness, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. I understand that starting therapy can feel a little intimidating, so my goal is to help you feel at ease from the very beginning.

We will spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brings you to therapy, and exploring any concerns, challenges, or goals you may have. I may ask questions about your background, current stressors, and what you hope to gain from the process. This helps me better understand your needs and begin developing a personalized approach to support you.

Together, we will start identifying initial goals for therapy—whether that’s reducing anxiety, improving coping skills, navigating a life transition, or gaining more clarity and confidence. You don’t have to have everything figured out, part of our work is discovering that together.

My focus in the first session is to create a safe, comfortable space where you feel heard, supported, and understood, while also beginning to build a strong foundation for meaningful progress moving forward.
