Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Amy Jennings, and I am a School Social Worker who has been working with children and families since 2009. I was born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia, and I feel grateful to serve the same school district I attended growing up. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Virginia Tech and my Master’s in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. I truly enjoy supporting children and families, and I bring warmth, care, and a strong understanding of school-based and family-centered support to my work.

My approach to therapy

My approach is supportive, compassionate, and centered on each child and family’s unique needs. I believe in creating a space where clients feel safe, understood, and encouraged. I enjoy working collaboratively with children and families to help them navigate challenges, build on their strengths, and feel more confident in their day-to-day lives.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling supported, heard, and better understood. My hope is that each session helps children and families feel more equipped to handle challenges, strengthen relationships, and move forward with greater confidence. I aim to make each session a positive and helpful space for growth.
