Amy Keiper-Shaw graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cedar Crest College in 1994 with a dual degree in Psychology and Social Work. She furthered her studies at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work in 1996. For more than a decade she worked in Inpatient Psychiatry where her focus was on maintaining a healthy emotional state and preventing re-hospitalization. Amy has provided Individual and Group counseling in outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospital settings. She has been a Bereavement Counselor for a hospice program for over two decades and has been facilitating a Bereavement Camp for children for more than 15 years. She has provided community lectures on Palliative & Hospice Care, Pet Loss, Holiday Grief, Compassion Fatigue, & and Warning Signs of Children’s Grief. Amy sees clients who are experiencing changes in their lives such as divorce, professional changes as well as grief/loss issues which may be causing anxiety or depression. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Clinical Thanatologist, Certified Grief Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Amy holds an Advanced Clinical Hospice & Palliative Care certification through the National Association of Social Work. She is certified to treat those struggling with anxiety related to change and loss. Amy is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and is a certified death doula. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the National Association of Professional Women. Amy served as a Girl Scout troop leader, a volunteer for a local pet shelter, and a Women’s Build volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. She lives in Bucks County, Pa. with her family.
