Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m Dr. La, a licensed psychologist with more than 14 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, stress, grief, cultural and identity-related concerns, and the effects of trauma. I provide culturally responsive, holistic care that considers your values, identity, relationships, and everyday pressures. I offer therapy in English and Cantonese and strive to create a warm, collaborative space where meaningful and lasting change can occur.

My approach to therapy

I tailor therapy to your unique needs, experiences, strengths, and goals. My approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and strength-based strategies. Together, we will explore the concerns affecting your well-being, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical strategies that align with your values. I recognize the courage it takes to seek support and am committed to helping you feel understood, empowered, and actively involved in your care.

What you can expect from me

From our first session, you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve through therapy. I strive to provide a warm, welcoming, and secure environment where you can feel comfortable sharing openly and being vulnerable. Together, we’ll identify your goals and work toward a calmer mind, a stronger sense of support, and practical tools for navigating life’s challenges. As therapy continues, we’ll build on your strengths and work collaboratively toward meaningful and lasting progress.
