Great to meet you!

I am a Psy.D and an LMHC, with a clinical background that encompasses psychoanalytic and psychodynamic modalities. I have worked extensively with substance-use disordered clients, those impacted by the criminal justice system and their families, and have extensive speciality training in evidence-based modalities for personality disorders, reframing many struggles as a sensitivity to inter-relational experience. This is my starting point for working with all of my clients, regardless of diagnosis. It is a great way to work toward having more fulfilling relationships and an enriched sense of self.

My approach to therapy

As both a clinician and an educator, I believe that no single explanation fully accounts for the way we experience ourselves in relationship to others. I have extensive experience and training working with personality disordered individuals and understand that these individuals often struggle with an acute sensitivity to inter-relational experience, which can present as depression or anxiety, often placing pressure on the relationships that are most important to us. My approach grounds psycho-education and interpersonal understanding in the building of a working relationship with my clients. I focus on early attachment with caregivers, and partner my clients in recognizing the impact of these patterns that we identify collaboratively.

What you can expect from me

My clients report expanded awareness of their internal structures, improved self-esteem and more stable and satisfying relationships.
