Great to meet you!

I have been working as a clinician and an administrator for over 25 years. After gaining a Master's of Social Work, I worked in community mental health centers in Northern Arizona, Chicago, Missouri and Kansas. I have held roles as a case manager, therapist, clinical supervisor and an administrator overseeing operations of a community mental health center. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work at organizations across the country that focus on helping clients achieve wellness and balance in their lives. As a clinician, I am dedicated to providing personalized care to clients, and helping clients move towards wellness through the use of CBT, EMDR and other evidence based practices.

I look forward to meeting you and working with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion with a non-judgmental stance. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and feelings, and where they can develop the skills and tools they need to thrive. I am gentle, but direct in my approach and work to create a space that my clients and I can work together as a team.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a time to build a professional relationship and focus on what brings you to therapy. We will identify your goals for therapy and what you hope to achieve by the end of our work together in therapy. It is also an opportunity to ask questions and learn a grounding technique (a new coping strategy) before we finish the first session.
