Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Dr. Amy Parks, and I’m so glad you’re here. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel safe, understood, and accepted exactly as they are. I specialize in trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and maternal mental health, with a special passion for supporting first responders and their families. I understand that those who spend their lives showing up for others often carry more than they let on, and having a place to set that weight down can make all the difference. My approach is warm, genuine, and down-to-earth, and I strive to create a space where you can speak openly, work through the hard stuff, and reconnect with your own strength. Whether you're navigating the impact of trauma, the demands of a first responder career, or a difficult season of life, you don't have to figure it all out alone.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and practical. I believe in creating a safe, judgment-free space where you can process your experiences, explore your feelings, and feel truly understood. Together, we’ll work through challenges, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools to help you navigate life with greater confidence and resilience. I have a special passion for supporting first responders and their families, recognizing the unique challenges of caring for others while managing your own stress and experiences. My goal is to help you feel supported, find clarity, and move forward in a way that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel a little intimidating, and I want you to know you don’t have to have all the answers or know exactly where to begin. Our first session is simply a chance for us to get to know each other, talk about what’s been weighing on you, and explore what you hope to get out of therapy. We’ll move at your pace, and you can share as much or as little as feels comfortable. My goal is for you to feel safe, supported, and truly heard from the very beginning. You spend so much time navigating life’s challenges and showing up for others—this is your time to focus on you. I look forward to meeting you and beginning this journey together.
