Hi, welcome! My name is Amy Perazzo, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with diagnostic privilege (LMHC-D) in the state of New York and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) by The National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. (NBCC). I have worked with children, adolescents and families seeking counseling since 2017 through a local outpatient mental health clinic.
My therapeutic style is empathic and direct. I strive to meet my clients where they are at, gain an understanding of their life including strengths and areas of concern, and help them achieve their goals. I believe counseling is about understanding the many different aspects of a person and collaborating to develop a plan in support of healing and growth.
During our first session, we will lay the foundation of our therapeutic relationship by building rapport and getting to know each other. We will discover what you hope to gain from our work together and start working on a plan to achieve your goals.
