Great to meet you!

Hello welcome to my page my name is Amy and I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), MCASAC, and founder of a practice called Gentle Within. I believe therapy should be a space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin to understand yourself with greater compassion and clarity.

I work with adults and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, substance use and co-occurring concerns, and major life transitions. I have experience supporting individuals who may appear to be managing well on the outside while internally feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck, or unsure of what comes next.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is holistic, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe emotional well-being is connected to the whole person: mind, body, relationships, life experiences, values, and, when meaningful to you, spirituality and faith. I look at treatment through a whole-person lens, which means we may explore your lifestyle, how you care for yourself, sleep, nutrition, stress, movement, and whether you are staying connected with appropriate medical care and routine health screenings.

My Christian faith also informs the compassion, hope, and respect I bring into my work. For clients who desire it, I welcome the integration of Christian faith, spiritual values, prayer, or faith-based reflection into the therapeutic process. Faith integration is always guided by the client's beliefs, preferences, and comfort level.
