Great to meet you!

Since completing my MS in Counseling and HR Management degree from SDSU in 2007, I have worked with all ages and a wide range of presenting issues. The current age group that I work with is 15 and older due to my providing services via telehealth only.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is more of an eclectic style; I draw from the areas I have been trained in and use what is needed to fit each person rather than trying to make the person fit into one theory. A few of my main ones are DBT/CBT, Solution Focused, Choice, Motivational, and Narrative. I truly believe in meeting the person where he/she/they are and helping the person to find his/her/their voice to tell the story that needs to be told so movement may be made forward once again.

What you can expect from our first session

No session may be the same just as no one person is the same. From treatment plans and goals to homework (if asked for or needed); these are things that will be done and reviewed. Grounding skills are always discussed and looked at to expand upon just as our support system and hobbies. Resiliency is an important part of being able to move forward and not only survive but thrive; my goal is to walk along with you on your journey while you find your way.
