Great to meet you!

I graduated from UW-Milwaukee in 2009 with Bachelor's degrees in Sociology and Psychology and honors in Liberal Arts. I continued there and graduated in 2011 with a Master's degree in Educational Psychology, with a specialty in Community Counseling. In 2018, I graduated from UW-Madison with an additional capstone degree in Infant, Early Childhood, and Family Mental Health. I have previous experience working with families in a community clinic as well as a hospital-affiliated clinic. I have been in private practice since 2020.

My approach to therapy

I believe it’s important to understand what’s happening before setting any intentions for action, so the first few times we talk, I really just want to listen, and let you speak freely about what’s going on. For all of us, it can be difficult to know where we’re going if we don’t quite understand yet where we’re at. Following a clinical interview, sessions may range from client/person-centered conversation to structured interventions and psychoeducation.

What you can expect from me

Changes can bring about a lot of confusion, so part of my job is to help you organize your thoughts around these changes and help you figure out what you really want. I will help you connect your individual struggles with what has happened in the wider collective culture and in your family. Then, we will work together to figure out how you can get to where you’d like to be.
