Great to meet you!

First, thank you for being here! Reaching out for support takes real courage, and I don't take that lightly. I'm a therapist who believes that healing happens in relationship, and I work hard to make that relationship feel warm, honest, and safe.

Outside of my work, I'm a mom to a spirited nine-month-old daughter, which means I'm living the beautiful, exhausting, identity-shifting reality of new parenthood right alongside many of the clients I see. That experience has deepened my understanding of just how much becoming a parent can stir up: grief, anxiety, joy, and everything in between. When I'm not working or chasing after my daughter, you'll usually find me curled up with a good book or playing a board game (I'm competitive, but only a little).

I specialize in grief and bereavement, stress management, depression, anxiety, and maternal mental health, including the perinatal and postpartum periods. Whatever you're carrying, my hope is that you leave our sessions feeling more like yourself.

My approach to therapy

I believe you're the expert on your own life so my job is to walk alongside you, offer tools and perspective, and help you build on the strengths you already have. My style is collaborative and direct. I'll gently challenge you when it's helpful, and I'll always meet you with understanding rather than judgment.

I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches and tailor them to what you actually need. That might look like practical, skills-based work through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, or deeper exploration through psychodynamic and Gestalt therapy to understand the patterns underneath. For trauma and PTSD, I use Trauma-Focused CBT and Seeking Safety to help you feel grounded and in control. When family dynamics or relationships are part of the picture, I bring in family-based and psychoeducational approaches. And when you're looking for focused, forward-moving change, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy can help us get there. I also support clients navigating anger management, impulse control, and life stress.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other. There's no pressure to have it all figured out or to share more than you're ready to. I'll ask some questions to understand what brought you in, what you're hoping to work toward, and a bit about your history and daily life. But I also want you to get a feel for me and how I work, so you can decide whether it feels like the right fit.

You can expect me to be warm, straightforward, and genuinely curious about you. By the end of our time together, we'll start to shape a sense of direction—what we might focus on and how we'll get there. Mostly, I want you to walk away feeling heard, and maybe a little lighter than when you arrived.
