Great to meet you!

My name is Amy Swails. I specialize in faith-based counseling and treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, parenting issues, coping with grief & loss, & other challenging areas like these. I believe you are the expert of your story & that you have many God-given strengths that will assist you in overcoming challenges. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling life & to take the first steps toward change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

My approach to therapy

My style is conversational and engaging. I ask questions to get you thinking in different ways about the challenges that bring you to counseling. I am professional and can be direct if you prefer (say it like it is!), though I most often am diplomatic and intentional in my approach with you.

What you can expect from me

We will set goals at the outset of your sessions. These goals will speak to what motivated you to begin counseling and what you hope to get out of counseling. They will guide your treatment and help you see ways you are making healthy, adaptive, and marked changes.
