Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Amy Weissman-Hunt. I am a Clinical Social Worker who is licensed to practice in Arizona. I have worked in this field for the past 32 years, since completing my graduate degree in Denver CO in 1992. I understand that seeking therapy can be a difficult decision, so I am glad you are here and will seek to make this as easy a process for you as possible.

My approach to therapy

I like to work with clients using very simple, practical and solution focused techniques. My job is to support, coach and partner with you in to address those issues that are bothering you the most and to work towards the goals that are the most important to you at this time. I believe counseling is a participatory process. We partner together to get you where you want to be.

What you can expect from me

I try to set a warm and open environment for our sessions. The initial session is a bit of a fact-finding journey, where you will share with me what brought you to therapy. As we move forward, I will likely assign small assignments for you between sessions to help you build skills that will enhance your progress.
