Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Anailys Alfred — a double board-certified psychiatric and family nurse practitioner who truly enjoys helping people feel better and more balanced in their lives. I take a whole-person approach to mental health, looking at both emotional and physical factors so care feels thoughtful and personalized. My style is supportive, down-to-earth, and collaborative — you’re always an active part of your care. I offer convenient telehealth visits so getting support can fit into your life.

My approach to therapy

Hi, I’m Ana — a double board-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care in a supportive and nonjudgmental space.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, mood changes, trauma-related concerns, stress, sleep difficulties, and challenges with focus, concentration, or feeling mentally overwhelmed. I understand how disruptive these symptoms can feel, especially when they begin to affect your work, relationships, or sense of confidence.

My approach blends clinical expertise with a whole-person perspective. We look at patterns, lifestyle factors, stress levels, and overall wellbeing — not just a diagnosis. I integrate evidence-based therapeutic strategies into our work together and, when medication is appropriate, we use it carefully and intentionally. My goal is never to overmedicate, but to help you feel stable, clear, and capable using the least intervention necessary.

I strive to create a space where you feel safe to speak openly and confident that your care is in knowledgeable hands. Together, we’ll build a plan that supports meaningful and lasting progress.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a thoughtful and collaborative conversation — not a rushed checklist.

We’ll take time to understand what brought you in, how your symptoms are affecting your life, and what you’re hoping will change. I’ll ask questions about your mental health history, medical background, lifestyle factors, stress levels, sleep, and patterns you’ve noticed over time. This helps me see the full picture, not just isolated symptoms.

You can expect a structured but supportive environment where you’re encouraged to speak openly. My role is to listen carefully, ask clarifying questions, and begin identifying possible underlying contributors to what you’re experiencing.

If medication may be helpful, we’ll discuss options transparently. If medication is not immediately necessary, we’ll focus on practical strategies and next steps that feel aligned with your goals.

By the end of our first session, you’ll leave with clarity about what’s happening and a plan for how we’ll move forward together.
