Great to meet you!

Understanding ourselves is one of the hardest and most meaningful parts of healing. After years working in community mental health and now in outpatient therapy, I've come to believe that many of the stories, beliefs, and survival strategies we carry once made sense, but no longer fit the life we want to live. Sometimes, those stories didn't even begin with us. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions, helping them better understand themselves, reconnect with their own voice, and move toward the life they want through a trauma-informed approach that integrates CBT, mindfulness, and somatic awareness.

My approach to therapy

Healing often begins by slowing down long enough to truly listen to ourselves. Rather than rushing to change difficult emotions, I believe they often have something important to teach us. Together, we'll explore the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that have shaped you, not to stay stuck in the past, but to better understand the present. And at some point, we'll probably ask, we've done all this psychoanalyzing... now what? That's where insight becomes action. Therapy becomes an opportunity to approach those patterns with curiosity rather than judgment, so we can decide which ones still serve you, which you're ready to let go of, and what new ways of living you'd like to create.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can bring up all kinds of emotions, and that's completely okay. Whether this is your first time meeting with a therapist or you're returning after time away, we'll begin by getting to know what brings you in, the experiences that have shaped you, and what you're hoping to gain from therapy. There is no pressure to have everything figured out. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clear sense of the direction we'll take together.
