Great to meet you!

Ana Maldonado is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Guatemala City, Ana returned to the U.S. at the age of 19. Her experiences growing up in a low socioeconomic environment highlighted the critical importance of mental health and its frequent neglect, fueling her passion for the field. Ana earned her Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from Antelope Valley College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Chamberlain University. She then completed her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from Maryville University.

My approach to therapy

Ana believes that like any relationship, the therapeutic one requires nurturing, trust, time, and effort. She strives to provide clients with deep insights into their challenges, empowering them to develop solutions and enhance their interpersonal relationships. Ana’s main priority is to help clients reach their fullest potential and improve their quality of life. She incorporates humor into sessions to ease tension and is always receptive to client feedback. Ana is optimistic, patient, and resilient, traits that are essential in her role as a mental health care provider. Her passion for psychology and the intricacy of the human mind initially drew her to this field, and the continuous need for mental health care specialists keeps her dedicated to her work. She finds immense fulfillment in helping people improve their quality of life.
