Great to meet you!

Maybe you’re adjusting to a change, sorting through a relationship, or trying to hear your own voice beneath everyone else’s opinions. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what you’re feeling, and explore what you want for yourself, without pressure to have all the answers right away. That’s something we can work through together.

I’m a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a master’s degree in Counseling. Through my work in schools and private practice, I’ve supported children, teens, adults and parents through the everyday struggles that can become overwhelming-family tension, relationship problems, self-doubt, and uncertainty about what comes next. I especially enjoy helping people understand what matters to them and feel more comfortable expressing it.

I’m interested in getting to know you: how you see things, what you care about, and where you feel stuck. My style is warm, open and conversational. Together, we can explore patterns, consider different perspectives, and practice ways to communicate, set boundaries, and make decisions you feel good about. With children and teens, I also help build ways to express feelings and involve parents when appropriate to support connection at home.

You don’t have to stop caring for others to start caring for yourself. There’s room for your needs, your relationships, and the person you’re becoming.

También ofrezco terapia en español. Aquí puedes hablar con confianza de lo que estas viviendo. Me interesa escucharte y concerté. Podemos ir paso a paso, hablando de lo que te preocupa y de lo que quieres para ti. Tus sentimientos y tus necesidades también cuentan.

My approach to therapy

My style is warm, conversational, and collaborative. I want to understand what matters to you, what feels difficult, and what you wish could be different. I welcome your perspective, including when something doesn’t feel right for you or you see things another way. Your perspective helps guide our work.

My approach is grounded in humanistic therapy, which means I see you as a whole person with strengths, experiences, and the ability to grow. I also draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to bring practical tools into our conversations. Together we’ll explore how your thoughts, feelings and responses connect, discover what’s already helping, and identify small steps towards the changes you want. Along the way, we may practice expressing your needs, setting boundaries, managing emotions and building confidence in your decisions. Whatever your age, my goal is to help you feel understood while developing skills you can use in everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other. You don’t have to prepare a speech or know exactly where to start. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what’s been weighing on you, and what you hope might feel different. I’ll ask questions to better understand you, and you’ll have room to ask me questions, too.

I offer a welcoming space where you can be honest, feel vulnerable, and speak without judgment. My role is to help you explore your choices and discover what you want for yourself—what brings you happiness, what matters to you, and what fits your life. That may look different from what others expect or what has worked for someone else. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you, with space for those goals to evolve.

Podemos hablar en inglés, en español, o un poquito de los dos—como te sientas más a gusto. No tienes que tener todo claro ni contar todo el primer día. Vamos paso a paso. Lo que sientes importa, y lo que quieres para tu vida merece un lugar de conversacion.
