Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Ana Muth-a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Florida, with over 30 years of experience guiding individuals and families through life's challenges. My passion lies in helping people discover their inner strength, heal from past wounds, and become the best version of themselves for a fruitful and productive future.

As the daughter of immigrants, I grew up with a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and the complexities of identity and assimilation into a foreign culture. Losing my father at the age of 15 profoundly shaped my understanding of grief and its impact, particularly during adolescence. These personal experiences have formed my compassionate and holistic approach to mental health.

I believe in the essential connection between mind, body, and spirit that must be nurtured in harmony. My therapeutic work is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy and mindfulness techniques. I honor each client's right to self-determination and follow a strength-based model that recognizes every individual's unique journey.

Throughout my career, I have supported a diverse population-including children, adolescents, young adults, and families-coping with challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. My goal is always to create a safe, trusting space where clients can explore their thinking patterns, build insight, and move toward meaningful growth.

Outside the therapy room, I find joy and peace in nature- whether walking through the woods, swimming at the beach, kayaking or biking. My greatest pride is my family, whose love and support mean everything to me. I am also a devoted dog lover who believes our furry companions offer a special kind of healing and unconditional love.

My approach to therapy

The most important thing to do initially is to establish a solid therapeutic relationship with my clients. Having a "good fit" between the therapist and the client is essential. I like to utilize a strength-based approach and build upon that in our work together. I draw from several approaches to include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Somatic based approaches, and mindfulness approaches.

What you can expect from me

Therapy sessions will focus on allowing the client to take steps towards personal growth, building insight, and establishing balanced emotional well-being. Clients can expect to have opportunities to reflect meaningfully and explore their inner world with honesty and curiosity. Clients can also expect to bring their real experienced-both successes and struggles to each session. growth can only occur when we work with the truth. Setting intentional goals in collaboration with the client will help us to track progress during our work together. Finally, Clients can expect to learn and apply new coping strategies, communication tools, and behavioral techniques they can practice between sessions. Clients can expect this to be a collaborative process where they can always ask questions and seek clarity.
