Great to meet you!

I’m Ana Parra, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with over 12 years of experience supporting adolescents, young adults, and adults.

Ofrezco terapia en español

Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, struggling with low self-esteem, or navigating difficult life transitions. You might look like you’re functioning on the outside, but inside you feel stuck, exhausted, or unsure of your next step.

My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood. Therapy with me is not about judgment. It is about helping you reconnect with your strengths, clarify what matters most to you, and move forward with greater confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and grounded in empathy and trust. We work together as a team.

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which helps identify and reshape unhelpful thought patterns, solution-focused therapy to build on what is already working in your life, and psychodynamic therapy to explore how past experiences may be shaping your present patterns.

Rather than focusing only on what feels wrong, we also build on your resilience and strengths. Therapy is a space to gain deeper self-understanding while learning practical tools you can use in everyday life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a calm and supportive space where you can show up exactly as you are.

We will talk about what brings you to therapy, what feels most urgent or painful right now, and what you hope will feel different in your life. You do not need to have everything figured out. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

By the end of our time together, my hope is that you leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of direction for where we are headed next.
