Ana Paula Castro-Papa

Hello, my name is Ana Paula, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Addiction Clinician (LAC) with a passion for helping individuals navigate their personal and relational challenges. I have extensive experience working with addiction in different settings. My approach to therapy is rooted in understanding systemic relationships, which means I look at how dysfunctional behaviors develop within the context of family and relationships and work with you to replace these with healthier patterns.

I’m trained to use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), and Emotionally Focused Individual (EFIT). Treatment Parent training (TFC), Reunification Therapy, and Court -Ordered Family Therapy. I help individuals, couples, and families identify and change negative emotional patterns. I use attachment theory to focus on deep-seated feelings like fear, loneliness, and hurt, rather than just arguing about daily surface problems. The goal is to build a safe, secure emotional bond.

I can help you address and resolve past traumatic issues so that they stop interfering with your current relationships with your loved ones and family.
