Great to meet you!

I received my master's degree in social work from California State University, Fresno in 2013 with a specialization in mental health. I have worked in the mental health field for the past 18 years. Along my career I have gained experience by working with victims of violent crimes, children and youth in foster care, sexual assault victims, military veterans, individuals in crisis, law enforcement, and college students.

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families on issues relating to trauma, abandonment, depression, anxiety, family conflicts, and life transitions.

My approach to therapy

I strive to provide space for you to feel comfortable finding answers, processing emotions, and letting go of anything that is preventing you from living your best life. I believe that past traumas, challenging and difficult experiences, challenging relationships, life transitions, uncertainty, and mental illness can throw us off balance. I also believe that each of us has the innate ability to heal, to learn and to practice healthy coping skills to regain the balance we need to live healthy and fulfilling lives.

What you can expect from me

Therapy is a place where you are given space to be yourself, without judgement, so that you can reflect on what you are seeking in your life. I do not adhere to a pathologizing perspective of mental health, I see our mental/emotional challenges as the evidence of our unhealed, unresolved, or incomplete past.

I will be the ideal therapist to an individual, a couple, or a family who sees therapy as a partnership and wants to get to the bottom of the issues, develop a plan, and move forward.
