Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through their mental health challenges.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from many different backgrounds and with a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, ADHD and more severe and complex mental health conditions.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to work through your struggles and build the life you want.

As a bilingual Spanish-speaking therapist, I especially value working with the Latino community. I understand the culture, family expectations, immigration experiences, language, and how other cultural factors can deeply influence our mental health and the challenges we face. I strive to provide culturally sensitive care where you can feel comfortable being fully yourself.

No matter where you are in your journey, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I’m here to help you understand what you’re experiencing, develop tools to cope, and move toward living your best life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is relationship-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being yourself.

I take a strengths-based approach, focusing not only on the challenges you’re facing but also on your strengths, resilience, and the experiences that have helped you get through difficult times. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you, help you gain insight, develop practical tools, and work toward the goals that are meaningful to you.

I use a variety of evidence-based approaches depending on your individual needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and other therapeutic techniques. I believe therapy should be individualized rather than one-size-fits-all, so we’ll work together to find an approach that feels comfortable and helpful for you.

Whether you’re looking to manage anxiety or depression, process trauma, navigate life changes, improve relationships, or cope with more complex mental health concerns, I’m here to support you with compassion, understanding, and without judgment.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about getting to know you and understanding what you’re going through. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been struggling with, and what you’d like to be different in your life.

I’ll also take some time to explain what you can expect from therapy, review important consents and confidentiality, and answer any questions you may have about the process.

We’ll talk about your background and current situation so I can get a better understanding of the bigger picture. We’ll also discuss what you hope to get from therapy and begin identifying goals together.

You don’t need to prepare anything or know exactly what to say. Just come as you are. We’ll take the time to get to know each other, and from there, we’ll figure out together what will be most helpful for you.
