Ms. Ana Tougas is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#157258) who earned her degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from California Lutheran University in 2017. She has experience supporting individuals, families, children, and college students navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions.
Ana began her clinical work at the CLU Community Counseling Services Center and later provided community-based counseling and psychoeducation through Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at Lakeside Family Counseling and Intervention Services in Ventura, CA. She is also certified in the Trauma Resource Model, Level I.
In addition to her clinical background, Ana worked at California State University Channel Islands from 2015–2020 within Wellness, Athletics, and Wellness Promotion and Education, supporting students, faculty, staff, and the broader Ventura County community. She later returned to CSUCI Counseling and Psychological Services as a clinician, counseling students and collaborating with CAPS clinicians through 2022. Ana also served as the CSU Channel Islands Confidential Campus Advocate in partnership with Coalition for Family Harmony Rape Crisis Center.
Ana is a compassionate, resilience-focused therapist dedicated to creating a warm, supportive, and safe environment where clients feel comfortable being open and vulnerable. She believes therapy is a collaborative process and works alongside clients to help them gain insight, build confidence, and create meaningful change in their lives.
