Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Analecia Nickel, LMFT. I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) who works with children (2+), teens, adults, couples and families. I specialize in supporting people who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected—or who want to break cycles, build self-trust, and feel more at peace in their relationships and within themselves. My background includes a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy (Magna Cum Laude) and experience across diverse settings.

My approach to therapy

I aim to create a space where you feel seen, safe and supported—and I bring a holistic lens (mind, body, nervous system) into the work.

My style is trauma-informed and client-centered. I believe therapy should move at your pace, not mine. I integrate somatic work (body-based healing), nervous system regulation, mindful movement, and awareness of your lived experience. I also draw on attachment theory and mindfulness practices, rooted in the idea that healing happens when you feel grounded in your body and safe in your relationships. My focus areas include anxiety, ADHD/OCD, trauma, relationship issues, emotional regulation—and I’m affirming of LGBTQ+ identities and culturally sensitive.

What you can expect from me

In that first session, you can expect a warm, non-judgmental environment where your story matters. We’ll start by connecting—who you are, what’s brought you in, what you want to change. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and understood from the start. Then we’ll identify some initial goals or intentions (for example: reduce anxiety symptoms, improve relationships, feel less stuck) and talk about how you’d like this work to look. We’ll also explore your relational, emotional, and nervous-system patterns—so you’re not just describing “what’s wrong,” but we’re offering you a map for what’s possible. You won’t be rushed—this is your pace, your space. And you’ll leave the session with something real we can build on: insight, next steps, maybe a small practice you can try.
