Great to meet you!

I understand that women’s lives are often shaped by family roles, societal expectations, and hormonal influences—all of which can affect how you navigate life’s many transitions. With 26 years of experience in mental health, including nearly a decade as a licensed clinical psychologist, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to supporting women through challenges such as setting boundaries, navigating commitment, finding fulfillment in the workplace, sustaining friendships, and balancing the joys and demands of caregiving and family life.

Over the course of my career, I’ve worked in many different settings with a wide range of concerns—including crisis intervention, substance use, eating disorders, and supporting veterans living with PTSD. These experiences inform the work I do with my current clients. I listen deeply and recognize that there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Together, we’ll explore your options, consider how different choices might impact your life, and find the path forward that makes the most sense for you right now.

As an intersubjective therapist, I’ll also help you reflect on how you present yourself and how you are experienced by others. While this can sometimes feel uncomfortable, it often uncovers both your greatest strengths and the areas where you have room to grow. Developing this kind of awareness can help you approach relationships and life choices with greater clarity, confidence, and freedom.

My approach to therapy

My approach is rooted in psychodynamic and systemic perspectives, with a strong emphasis on attachment and intersubjectivity. In practical terms, this means I pay close attention to how your early life experiences, relationship patterns, and the systems around you have shaped who you are today. Often, the solutions we create for one problem can unintentionally lead to new challenges. Together, we’ll look at those patterns and find new ways forward.

As an immigrant myself, I understand the pull between gratitude for a host country and longing for the home left behind. I also bring awareness to the ways minority status and larger societal dynamics can show up—in the workplace, in relationships, and in daily life. While my work is not political, I won’t shy away from exploring how these broader forces may be affecting your experience of yourself and others.

My goal is not only to help you gain insight but also to support you in building confidence and making intentional, lasting changes in your life. I want you to feel more in control, more fulfilled, and more aligned with the relationships and activities that matter most to you.

What you can expect from me

Many of the people I work with come to me during times of transition, when questions and uncertainty feel overwhelming—whether that means deciding how best to care for an aging parent, managing difficult workplace dynamics, or figuring out how to approach blended family relationships. While easing symptoms such as frustration, anxiety, insomnia, or depression is important, our work together goes deeper. I’ll start by listening closely and getting a full picture of the problem, including its history. Through this process, you may gain new insights and awareness—sometimes uncovering factors you hadn’t realized were shaping your experience. From there, we’ll explore options and solutions that align with your values and long-term goals, not just quick fixes.

In sessions with me, you can expect a collaborative, respectful, and consistent environment. My role is to make sure you feel heard, supported, and truly understood—like I’m on your team. Because the challenges you’re facing developed over time, therapy is also a process that unfolds over time, often in weekly sessions. While not every conversation will be easy, my priority is always your wellbeing and growth. By the time we complete our work together, my hope is that you’ll feel a genuine sense of transformation: more confident, more hopeful, and more fully engaged in the relationships and activities that matter most to you.
