Great to meet you!

I am a well-rounded and creative individual especially interested in optimizing relationships and social effectiveness. I earned my bachelor's in psychology from Columbia University and my master's in social work from the NYU Silver School of Social Work, and I am currently in training to deepen my practice at a psychoanalytic institute. For years I have worked with individuals, families, and children, from private practices to prisons. I bring a multidisciplinary lens to my practice, rooted in my extensive background in anthropological and biological research. I believe that healing the world begins with healing the individual, and that everyone has the potential to be a creative and fulfilled individual.

My approach to therapy

Two words encapsulate my general approach to therapy: "curiosity" and "challenge". I like to view an individual from many lens, from their developmental history to their personal interests. Many clients have praised my presence, empathetic capacity, and ability to see issues from varying angles and perspectives. Thanks to my well-rounded education and training, I am comfortable employing various treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotionally focused therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, and narrative therapy. I don't like to ask "what's wrong" with someone; instead, I consider, "what happened?".

What you can expect from me

I like to start by asking my patients about what brings them to therapy and why now? I listen, I question, I assess, and eventually I like to suggest and challenge alternative approaches, mindsets, and behaviors. I like to take a flexible, personalized approach, using whatever tools or strategies that are most effective for you. My aim is to help you gain clarity about your motivations, goals, and habits, in order to support my patients being the best and most authentic people they want to be.
