Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in behavioral health services since 2008. I received an MS in Social Work from Columbia University. I identify as a Black, bi+ male of queer experience. I focus my life and my life's work on the advancement of oppressed identities overall wellbeing in mind, body, and spirit. I specialize in treating people utilizing a person centered model to validate one's lived expereince.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy with a recognition that one's lived epxerienced is valid. Instead of focusing on how to make one feel better in society, I often help people realize ways to shape their surroundings in ways that make them feel safer and more validated. I often utilize REBT, psychodynamic, schema therapy, and attachment theory approaches in my work.

What you can expect from me

I focus on helping people strengthen the way they show up in the world, specifically increasing their authenticity and self-worthiness. My style balances between challenging and encouraging with humor. In building a positive, trustworthy relationship, you will inspire your authentic self. You will embolden the authentic you as you learn the difference between who you are, who you want to be, and who others expect you to be. Perfectionism be gone! We will validate you, because you are worthy!
