Great to meet you!

Hi and welcome! My name is Dr. Andrea Che and I am a licensed psychologist in California. I am only offering virtual sessions currently.

I specialize in working with teens and adults (16 & up). I see clients who come from/identify with diverse cultural backgrounds, sexual identities, and gender identities. My specialty areas include depression, anxiety, work/school stress, cultural diversity issues, intergenerational trauma, self-esteem issues, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions, to name a few. While I am passionate about working with clients on a wide range of concerns, I especially enjoy helping clients overcome social anxiety so they can manage social fears, have meaningful connections and feel more confident.

My approach to therapy

My approach with clients is warm, holistic, collaborative, and strength-focused. My clients are comfortable showing up authentically in a safe, nonjudgmental space. I integrate evidence-based and mindfully-based approaches that include but are not limited to cognitive behavioral interventions (e.g. CBT, ACT and DBT).

As for my clinical training, I completed my doctorate at PGSP/Palo Alto University (APA Accredited) with an emphasis in neuropsychology, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the UC Davis Medical Center.

What you can expect from me

I collaborate with clients to identify their goals, explore and process difficulties, and learn important skills to navigate through life challenges. I aim to help individuals feel heard, validated, and to achieve their value-based goals.

Outside of work, I enjoy outdoor activities, traveling, spending quality time with loved ones, arts & crafts, to name a few.
