Great to meet you!

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from Walden University, I am deeply passionate about delivering patient-centered care and committed to advocating for individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures. With over eight years of experience working with patients, families, and communities affected by mental illness, I have developed a profound understanding of the importance of compassionate and individualized care.

My professional journey began as a registered nurse, where I came to realize that mental illness is no respecter of person, age, color, or social status. This experience reinforced my belief that every individual facing mental health challenges deserves a patient-centered, personalized, and holistic approach to their care.

As a PMHNP, my goal is to serve as a source of strength and support through active listening, empathy, and compassion. I strive to provide an evidence-based approach tailored to each patient’s specific needs, ensuring that every individual feels heard, valued, and empowered on their path to wellness.

My approach to therapy

Our focus is on delivering holistic, client-centered approach that is tailored to each client’s unique needs, preferences, and values.

It is our believe that demonstrating empathy, building trust, maintaining rapport, and practicing active listening are essential to the intervention of high-quality, best-practice care.

We encourage clients to take an active role in decision-making and to consider lifestyle factors such as sleep hygiene, nutrition, exercise, and stress management to support overall wellness.

We also value cultural sensitivity and strive to integrate both conventional and alternative therapies in ways that align with each client’s preferences and beliefs.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about connection and comfort. You’ll have the chance to get to know your care provider and for them to get to know you in a relaxed, compassionate, and non-judgmental space. Together, we’ll talk about your medical and mental health history, current symptoms, daily routines, sleep, appetite, and anything else that helps us better understand your experiences and concerns.

We’ll also explore what you’d like to achieve in your mental health journey, whether that’s finding relief from symptoms, improving your daily life, or reaching personal goals that matter most to you. Your provider will share information about your diagnosis, treatment options, and what to expect from therapy or medications, should they be part of your plan.

From there, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan designed just for you. This may include therapy, medication, lifestyle changes, or a combination of approaches to support your growth and well-being. Throughout the process, you’re encouraged to ask questions, express concerns, and take an active role in your care. Together, we’ll build a plan that feels supportive, collaborative, and truly centered on you.
