Great to meet you!

I obtained a Bachelor of Science from Marshall University in Huntington, WV, and a Master of Science from Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA. I served in the Virginia Community Service Board system for 15 years in rural, suburban, and urban areas before entering private practice. I have 20 years of experience working with adults experiencing stress, addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, anger and relationship issues.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I approach treatment from a person-centered, strength-based perspective. I am trained in DBT for supporting individuals with BPD, trauma treatment for PTSD and specialize in addiction treatment.

What you can expect from our first session

We will explore your needs, strengths, and preferences for treatment. We will discuss what resources I bring to the relationship, an approach to treatment and develop small goals for the next session. The goal is for you to be comfortable while exploring your needs and therapy process.
