Great to meet you!

Hello. My name is Sudha Andrea Faraday, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering online therapy throughout California. I support clients who want a caring and steady space where they can explore their inner world with honesty and compassion. In my practice I help people slow down, connect with their bodies, and create more room for clarity, grounding, and emotional freedom. I believe therapy is a deeply human process. It happens when two people sit together with openness and curiosity and allow what is real to unfold. You do not need to arrive with perfect language or a clear explanation. You simply need to bring yourself as you are. I am here to help you uncover what is ready to be seen and supported. Many clients come to me during times of transition, confusion, or inner tension. Others feel a pull toward deeper self understanding. Some sense that something within them needs attention but they are not sure where to begin. I offer a spacious atmosphere where your nervous system can settle enough to hear its own wisdom. If you are looking for a therapist who honors your lived experience and treats you as a whole person, I welcome you. Our work together can help you reconnect with your inner steadiness, build resilience, and rediscover what feels meaningful to you. Whether you are looking for long term support or short term clarity, I would be honored to walk alongside you as you move toward greater alignment, wellbeing, and self trust.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is integrative, relational, somatic, and strengths based. I work with the full spectrum of your experience which includes thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and the deeper layers of your inner world. I believe that change happens when we bring gentle awareness to what has been held in the body and when we create enough safety for new patterns to emerge. In our work I pay close attention to the present moment. This means I listen to the words you speak and I also notice subtle shifts in your breathing, posture, and tone. These small cues often reveal what your system is carrying. When something important arises we slow down and explore it together. This helps you build capacity and create more room in your nervous system. I am not a therapist who forces a direction or pushes for quick solutions. Instead I collaborate with you at the pace that feels workable. I offer reflections, questions, grounding practices, and somatic awareness tools that help you develop insight and emotional resilience. I also draw from transpersonal and multicultural influences which means I honor your spiritual, cultural, and identity based ways of making sense of your life. My goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself. Over time this type of work supports greater clarity, choice, and relational freedom. It can help you move out of old patterns, release what no longer fits, and feel more authentically present in your life.

What you can expect from me

A first session with me is gentle, spacious, and centered on understanding what you need. We begin by talking about what led you to seek therapy at this moment in your life. You are welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable. I listen carefully to your words and to the emotional tone beneath them. I also pay attention to how your body feels as you speak which helps us understand the full shape of your experience. During this initial meeting we explore your history, your relationships, and the patterns that have shaped your life. We talk about what you hope to change and what you want to move toward. I ask thoughtful questions to help you express what feels important and we check in regularly to make sure the pace feels safe. I also explain how I work, what you can expect in future sessions, and how we will collaborate. You have space to ask questions about the process or to share any concerns. We clarify practical details such as scheduling, communication, and your goals for therapy. The first session is not about rushing into solutions. It is about building a foundation of trust. My intention is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and more grounded. Even after one meeting many clients feel a slight shift such as relief, calmness, or a sense of beginning. This early experience sets the tone for our ongoing work which is collaborative, compassionate, and attuned to your inner world.
