Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m a licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Lexington, Kentucky. I work with clients ages 17 through mature adulthood navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and long‐standing patterns of inner conflict or relational challenges.

I believe therapy is never one-size-fits-all. Each person is unique, and treatment should be flexible and responsive. That’s why I continuously enhance my skills across modalities to meet clients where they are.

My approach is structured, collaborative, and progress‐oriented. I build on each client’s strengths to help them move forward, and I see open communication as essential to strong therapeutic rapport. Because therapy is an investment, I want every session to feel worthwhile. I often ask clients what they’re taking away from our time together so I can gauge progress and adapt.

Ultimately, I aim to support you with compassion and challenge , helping you gain clarity, confidence, and resilience, until one day you'll no longer need treatment.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is like finding the right shoe, it must suit you and feel comfortable. Since there’s no one-size-fits-all, I draw from CBT, EMDR, and IFS, modalities selecting what’s most helpful in each session. I’m progress‐oriented and my goal is to see you leave each meeting with insight or a tool you can use immediately.

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): helps you identify and reshape unhelpful thoughts and behaviors.
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing): employs rapid eye movements (akin to REM sleep) to reprocess distressing memories and lessen their emotional charge.
  • IFS (Internal Family Systems): understands your inner world as made up of “parts” — subpersonalities with their own feelings and memories, sometimes in tension. Therapy helps you harmonize those parts and connect with your core Self.

With me, you’ll receive compassion and encouragement with just enough of a push to build your self‐assurance, until one day you no longer need therapy.

What you can expect from me

n our first session, I’ll complete an intake assessment including your presenting concerns, a mental status exam, and background details such as family, education and life context. This holistic view lets me understand you fully, so we can address underlying issues rather than just symptoms. Then we’ll work together to develop a treatment plan. Since you know yourself best, you get a say in which areas we tackle first. Therapy is a joint process and my role is to guide, support, and empower you along the way.
