Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Andrea, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, support, and practical tools for healing and growth. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to be themselves and work through difficult emotions, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress.

My background includes working in intensive outpatient mental health settings with adolescents and adults, as well as experience supporting clients recovering from traumatic experiences, including motor vehicle accidents and traumatic brain injuries (TBI). I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care to help clients build coping skills, emotional regulation, self-awareness, and resilience.

I believe therapy should feel collaborative and individualized. My goal is to meet clients where they are while helping them move toward healing, balance, and a healthier relationship with themselves. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, feeling overwhelmed, processing trauma, navigating burnout, or simply needing support through a difficult season of life, I am here to help guide and support you through the process.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. I strive to create a nonjudgmental environment where clients can openly process emotions, challenges, and life experiences while building practical tools for lasting change.

I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. I often focus on helping clients improve emotional regulation, reduce anxiety and stress, increase self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, and build healthier patterns in relationships and daily life.

My goal is to help clients feel empowered, gain insight into themselves, and create meaningful progress at a pace that feels manageable and supportive for them.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to be a supportive, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where we begin getting to know one another. My goal during the first session is to help clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences, concerns, and what they hope to gain from therapy. We will discuss current challenges, important background information, coping patterns, strengths, and any goals the client would like to work toward.

I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, so I strive to create an environment where clients feel heard, validated, and supported at their own pace. Together, we will begin identifying areas of focus and develop goals that feel realistic, meaningful, and personalized to the client’s needs.

Clients can also expect to leave the session with a better understanding of how we can work together, as well as practical support, coping strategies, and reassurance that they do not have to navigate things alone.
