Great to meet you!

With 23 years of experience as a board certified psychotherapist, I believe living a value driven and balanced life are key to strong mental health. I especially love to help postpartum women adjust to their valuable role as moms while not losing themselves in the process. I very successfully help persons overcome anxiety and depression and the price of grief and trauma.

My approach to therapy

Most important to me, is that you feel safe and are motivated for change! Once we've determined what needs to be different, integrating various therapy modalities will help me know which of these meet your unique needs. Goals are always achieved through minuscule baby steps. We never proceed until previous tasks have been completely mastered. Both you and I are active participants during sessions, you sharing and gaining insight, and my listening, reflecting and guiding forward from behind.

What you can expect from me

First, I will give you the open mic! Your story is important and it has taken much courage for you to seek out help. When difficult, I will gently prod you forward until you feel that there is nothing left to share. We will then identify our therapy goals, begin our exploratory work, and begin to rebuild your preferred future. My aim is to ensure that coming to therapy is your preferred outing of the week, a place where you feel empowered, understood and equipped to make your better story.
