Great to meet you!

I believe that reaching out for support takes courage, and I want my clients to know that they don’t have to navigate difficult times alone. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable being honest about what you are experiencing and begin working toward the life you want.

I have experience supporting individuals who are struggling with substance use, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, anger, relationship and family difficulties, and relapse prevention. I understand that everyone’s journey is different, and I meet each person where they are—without judgment and with compassion.

In my work, I use approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, and strengths-based and relapse-prevention strategies. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and develop practical coping skills that can help you manage difficult emotions, strengthen relationships, and make healthier choices.

I believe change doesn’t happen all at once. Sometimes it starts with simply being willing to have a conversation. My role is to walk alongside you, help you recognize your strengths, and support you as you take those next steps toward healing, growth, and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I believe therapy works best when clients feel respected, heard, and comfortable being their authentic selves. I strive to create a safe, judgment-free environment where we can openly explore the challenges you are facing and work together toward meaningful change.

I meet clients where they are and recognize that everyone’s experiences, strengths, and goals are different. Rather than simply telling you what to do, I work alongside you to better understand your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and patterns while helping you identify practical tools that fit your life.

My areas of focus include substance use and recovery, relapse prevention, anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, stress management, anger, self-esteem, coping skills, and relationship and family challenges. I also work with clients who are struggling with motivation or feeling uncertain about making changes.

I incorporate Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, strengths-based approaches, and relapse-prevention strategies into my work. I focus on helping clients build self-awareness, develop healthier coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen their support systems, and recognize their own ability to create positive change.

Most importantly, I want clients to feel that they have a partner in the process. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. We can start where you are and take it one step at a time.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a relationship based on trust, respect, and understanding. I know that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable or even intimidating, so I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you can feel safe sharing what brings you to counseling.

During our first session, we will talk about what you are currently experiencing, your personal history, your strengths, and the areas of your life you would like to improve. We will explore your concerns and begin identifying the thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, or circumstances that may be contributing to your current challenges.

Together, we will begin developing realistic and meaningful goals for therapy. Depending on your needs, these may include improving coping skills, managing anxiety or depression, strengthening relationships, developing healthier responses to stress, addressing substance use, building relapse-prevention skills, improving emotional regulation, or increasing self-esteem and confidence.

You do not need to have everything figured out before your first appointment. You simply need to be willing to begin. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, respected, and hopeful about the possibility of change. From there, we will work together at a pace that feels manageable and focused on the goals that matter most to you.
