Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker–Clinical Practice (LISW-CP) with almost 20 years of experience in direct care and social services. Throughout my career, I’ve supported children, adults, and families in developing skills, navigating difficult circumstances, strengthening relationships, and creating meaningful change in their lives.

I earned my Master of Social Work in 2023 from The Ohio State University. Since that time, much of my clinical work has focused on supporting survivors of abuse and trauma.

I work with clients experiencing trauma and abuse, grief, depression, anxiety, relationship and parenting concerns, and behavioral challenges. My approach is collaborative, practical, and individualized to each client’s needs. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and positive parenting strategies.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in real conversation, genuine connection, and meeting you where you are. I believe therapy can be meaningful and productive without always feeling formal. My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself- where there’s room for tears, laughter, and everything in between as we explore the difficult things together.

Meaningful, lasting change is strengthened by having people in your corner. Sometimes that support starts in the therapy room, and together we can work toward strengthening the connections and support systems that help you continue to grow outside of it.

An important part of our work will be recognizing progress - even the small steps that can be easily overlooked. Together, we’ll identify your strengths, explore the values that matter most to you, and look at how those values can guide the changes you want to make. Rather than focusing only on what’s going wrong, we’ll pay attention to what you’re already doing well and build from there.

You can expect me to be supportive, practical, and honest while helping you develop greater insight, recognize your capabilities, and take meaningful steps toward the life and relationships you want.

What you can expect from me

I see the 15-minute consultation as a chance for us to get to know each other a little before deciding if working together feels like a good fit. You can share what’s been going on, what you feel like you need some help with, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. You don’t have to tell me your whole story in 15 minutes—we’re just starting the conversation.

I’ll ask some questions, share my thoughts about how I might be able to support you, and give you an idea of what working together could look like. You’ll have a chance to ask me questions too. Most importantly, this is a time for both of us to get a sense of whether I’m the right clinician for what you need.
