Andrea Mendenhall

I have a total of 20 years of nursing experience caring for patients in the emergency department, forensic unit, operating room, critical care unit, and acute psychiatric unit. In 2005, I graduated with an Associate of Science in Nursing degree from Ivy Tech Community College. In 2015, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Western Governors University. In February 2020, I had a heartfelt desire to improve mental health care access and graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Walden University in late 2022. In March 2023, I obtained ANCC board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I strive to provide exceptional, patient-centered care for each unique individual. I am passionate about reducing mental health stigmas and restoring hope for those experiencing mental health challenges.

I strive to provide the highest quality care in a compassionate and empathetic manner to each patient every day. I care for patients who may be experiencing their roughest time. Advanced nursing practice allows me to be the face of caring; the comforter of the sick; and the teacher of healthy practices. I thoroughly enjoy helping people inside and outside of work. My favorite moments involve connecting with my patients and their families and taking the time to understand their values and most significant concerns.

My goal is for each patient to feel hopeful, well-informed, and encouraged that they are receiving the best individualized treatment.
