Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should be a place where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative environment where we work together to better understand your experiences, build on your strengths, and develop practical skills to navigate life's challenges.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Clinical Social Worker with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lakeland University and a bachelor's degree in Social Work and Sociology from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. My professional experience includes working with Wood County Crisis Services, a residential reentry program, and Wood County Drug Court, where I supported individuals experiencing mental health and substance use concerns.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, OCD, mood disorders, relationship concerns, grief, postpartum and perinatal challenges, emotional dysregulation, and life transitions. I also have a special interest in supporting individuals living with chronic medical conditions, blended families, and those in rural communities with limited access to mental health services.

As a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional (CIMHP), I combine evidence-based therapies with lifestyle, behavioral, and mind-body strategies to help clients improve both emotional and physical well-being. I believe healing looks different for everyone, and I strive to meet each client where they are while empowering them to move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is individualized, compassionate, and evidence-based. I recognize that every person's story is unique, so I tailor treatment to your goals, strengths, and needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), trauma-informed care, mindfulness, play therapy techniques, family systems interventions, and integrative mental health principles when appropriate. Together, we'll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build practical coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, improve communication and relationships, and create realistic goals for lasting change.

I value collaboration and believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide guidance, support, education, and practical tools while helping you build confidence and resilience. Whether you're working through anxiety, trauma, parenting challenges, relationship concerns, life transitions, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, we'll work together at a pace that feels comfortable and meaningful to you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and the goals you'd like to work toward. You'll have plenty of space to ask questions and share as much or as little as you feel comfortable.

My goal during the first appointment is not to have everything figured out, but to understand your unique story and help you feel heard and supported. Together, we'll begin developing a plan that fits your needs and identify practical next steps to help you move toward your goals. Many clients leave the first session with a better understanding of what they're experiencing, initial coping strategies, and hope that meaningful change is possible.

Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child, your relationship, or your family, you can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where we work together to help you feel empowered and supported throughout the therapy process.
