Great to meet you!
I’m Andrea Perez (she/her/hers), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Virginia. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and my Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Professional Education from the University of West Florida.
For the past 8 years I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages in a variety of settings, including but not limited to youth residential placements, school-based services, child and family welfare, and outpatient community mental health with adults and children. My work has centered around supporting individuals with a focus on post-traumatic stress, ADHD, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and grief/loss. I have a particular passion for supporting individuals as they navigate key life transitions, especially those in the post-high school phase, where they are exploring career paths, higher education options, and the broader transition into adulthood.
I’m deeply passionate about helping my clients, particularly those in the BIPOC* community, find their voice and develop the skills they need to navigate life’s challenges.
*BIPOC stands for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. It's a term that helps acknowledge the unique experiences and challenges faced by people from different racial and ethnic backgrounds, particularly when it comes to systemic inequalities. I use this term to show my commitment to supporting the specific needs of these communities.
