Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Andrea Piazza, a licensed therapist with a master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and over a decade of experience. I specialize in working with individuals navigating PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and neurodiversity (ADHD, autism). If you’re feeling overwhelmed by past experiences, struggling with emotional triggers, or finding it hard to trust yourself or others, I provide a safe and structured space for healing.

My approach to PTSD and trauma therapy is rooted in evidence-based techniques like EMDR, CBT, and mindfulness-based interventions. Trauma can leave lasting emotional and physical imprints, making everyday life feel unpredictable and exhausting. In our work together, we’ll focus on:

  • Processing traumatic memories in a way that feels safe and manageable.
  • Building emotional regulation skills to reduce anxiety, dissociation, and hypervigilance.
  • Reclaiming a sense of safety and control in your life and relationships.

I believe trauma therapy should be gentle yet effective—it’s not about forcing yourself to "move on" but rather learning how to integrate past experiences so they no longer define you. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, resilient, and empowered to navigate life on your terms.

Outside of therapy, I’m passionate about dance, the arts, and lifelong learning—interests that often inspire my creative, strengths-based approach to healing. If you’re ready to take the next step toward recovery, I’d love to support you.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Healing from PTSD and trauma isn’t just about talking—it’s about rewiring how your body and mind respond to stress. My approach is holistic and personalized, blending:

  • EMDR to reprocess distressing memories without reliving the pain.
  • CBT & somatic techniques to reduce negative thought patterns and body-based trauma responses.
  • Mindfulness & nervous system regulation tools to create a sense of safety and stability.

Trauma can make the world feel unsafe, but therapy can help rebuild trust in yourself and others. My focus is on meeting you where you are and guiding you toward lasting relief.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients often describe feeling less emotionally reactive, more in control of their responses, and better able to navigate daily stressors. With time, you can expect:

  • Fewer trauma-related symptoms (like nightmares, flashbacks, panic attacks).
  • Stronger emotional regulation skills to handle stress and triggers.
  • A deeper connection to yourself and those around you.

If you’re tired of feeling stuck in survival mode, I’d love to help you move toward a life that feels calmer, clearer, and more fulfilling.
