Great to meet you!

I know that reaching out to a therapist can feel like a big step, especially if you’re used to being the one who holds everything together for everyone else. My hope is that therapy can be a place where you don’t have to have it all figured out or pretend that everything is okay.

My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I want to understand your story, what matters to you, and what life has felt like from your perspective. We’ll work together to make sense of what you’re experiencing, explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and find ways to move forward that feel right for you.

I don’t believe you need to be fixed. Sometimes we need space to understand ourselves, work through what we’ve been carrying, or make sense of things that no longer feel the way they used to. Other times, we simply need someone who will listen without judgment and help us see things a little differently.

Wherever you are in your journey, you don’t have to have the right words or know exactly where to begin. We can start right where you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to you. I don’t believe therapy should feel like someone telling you what to do or handing you a list of things to fix. Instead, I see it as a process of getting curious about your experiences, understanding the patterns that shape your life and relationships, and figuring out what you need to feel more connected to yourself and the people around you.

I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on your needs, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all path to growth. Our work may involve exploring past experiences, understanding how your relationships influence you, developing practical tools to manage difficult emotions, or making space for feelings you haven’t had the opportunity to process.

I also believe that insight is only one part of the process. I want our work to feel meaningful beyond the therapy room, helping you navigate real-life challenges and make changes that align with your values. You can expect honesty, curiosity, and a space where we can talk openly, even when things feel messy or uncomfortable.

Ultimately, my goal is to meet you where you are, help you better understand yourself, and work alongside you as you figure out where you want to go.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel a little intimidating, especially if you’re not sure what to expect or where to begin. In our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, get to know you, and begin understanding what brought you to therapy.

We’ll talk about what’s been going on in your life, what feels challenging right now, and what you hope might look different moving forward. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. Sometimes, just showing up is the hardest part, and that’s okay.

I’ll ask questions to help me better understand your experiences, relationships, and goals, but this isn’t an interview or a test. It’s a chance for us to start building a relationship and figure out together what support might be most helpful for you.

You can expect a judgment-free space where you can be yourself, ask questions, and share at your own pace. We don’t have to solve everything in one session. We’ll start where you are and take things one step at a time.
