Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Andi and I'm a South Carolina native. I graduated from the College of Charleston in 2013, worked a variety of odd jobs, and decided to return to graduate school to pursue my ideal career in 2021. I graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2023 with a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have loved the journey I've been on ever since.

My specialities lie in transgender issues, gender dysphoria, anxiety and depressive disorders, processing trauma and life difficulties, LGBTQIA+ issues relating to identity and acceptance, as well as ADHD skill building and emotional identification/regulation.

As someone who has struggled at times with my own issues of trauma, anxiety, depression, and identity, I can relate to client experiences and strive to create a collaborative, safe environment for growth. I invite potential clients to reach out with any initial questions or book an initial appointment.

My approach to therapy

Being anxious about which direction you should take can be complicated and secluding. Difficulties in life can lead to feelings of uncertainty about your abilities and a loss of connection to who you are. Therapy can be an excellent tool to navigate these feelings in a safe and supportive environment.

I believe the client holds the knowledge within of the best path forward and I feel honored to work in collaboration with clients to reconnect with themselves or find ways to let their true identity shine. Whether you're looking for new skills, need to process experiences, or need an ally in your journey, I am here for you in support.

What you can expect from me

I like to explore a client's past to the extent that they're comfortable in order to identify root events/people/circumstances that have poteentially made an impact on present thoughts/behaviors/actions.

The client will know they are fully supported by me and that there is no topic which is not acceptable to bring up within our sessions. I think of the client and myself as two individuals working together to climb a mountain. Without the full investment and use of present tools by the client or myself, we are destined to remain in the same place. Together we can ascend and descend into greener pastures.
