Great to meet you!

Life can be challenging, can frustrate or hurt in so very many ways. The weighty experiences that cause us to stumble and fall often set up shop in our brains, leading us to view and react to life experiences as threats to survival. My desire is to reduce the emotional pain that comes from experiencing trauma or traumatic brain injury, and so allow the freedom to view life with greater peace, trust, and clarity. As a licensed therapist, I’m dedicated to helping individuals who are navigating the complexities of trauma and traumatic brain injury (TBI).

My approach integrates evidence-based techniques such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic experiencing, and mindfulness practices. I aim to create a safe and empathetic space where you can begin to heal, reclaim your sense of calm, and rebuild your life with greater peace, trust, and clarity.

I believe in addressing not only the mind but also the body, as trauma can manifest in both physical and emotional ways. My therapeutic techniques are designed to help you process difficult memories, release tension stored in the body, and develop a more balanced, grounded way of experiencing the world.

My approach to therapy

I view trauma through the lens of EMDR, focusing on the negative beliefs that govern your life and how such beliefs developed. By disarming the foundations of these beliefs, you can be freed of these barriers and so engage with life as your true self.

What you can expect from me

The first time we sit down to talk, my hope is I will begin understanding your experience of your life while letting you see that I do care. How do you feel about your day-to-day encounters? I will wonder about your take on your ability to guide your life, to engage with others, to take on challenges.
