Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm Andrea Wyatt, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned my Master’s degree in School Counseling from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2009 and have spent the past 15 years working closely with adolescents, supporting both their academic success and emotional well-being.

For the last decade, I’ve integrated a biblically based therapeutic approach with cognitive behavioral techniques to help clients identify and reshape negative thought patterns, develop healthy coping strategies, and create lasting change. Our work together will focus on the connection between your thoughts, beliefs, and emotions—and how they influence your actions.

Whether you're an individual, part of a couple, family, or an adolescent, you’ll find a compassionate, committed, and experienced therapist ready to walk alongside you. Life can be complex and challenging, and seeking help is a courageous first step. I applaud your willingness to reach out, and I look forward to helping you become the healthiest version of yourself.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and a deep respect for each person's unique story. I integrate biblically based principles with evidence-based practices, primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help clients explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I believe that lasting change begins with understanding how we think—and from there, we can begin to challenge unhelpful patterns, develop new coping skills, and move toward healing and growth. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to pursue meaningful change.

My style is warm, direct, and supportive. I work alongside my clients as a guide and encourager, offering insight, tools, and hope while honoring their pace and values. I specialize in working with adolescents, individuals navigating anxiety and depression, and those experiencing life transitions or relationship challenges. I also have extensive experience in faith-integrated counseling, helping clients align their mental and emotional wellness with their spiritual beliefs. Whether you're facing overwhelming stress, struggling with negative thought patterns, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to help you sort through the noise and move toward a more grounded and healthy version of yourself.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave our sessions feeling supported, understood, and equipped with practical tools they can apply to real-life situations. My goal is to help you gain deeper insight into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and how they influence one another. Together, we’ll work on building healthy coping strategies, improving emotional regulation, and developing more balanced, hope-filled perspectives.

I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and encouraging space—one where you can show up just as you are. Whether you’re carrying anxiety, sadness, relational pain, or simply seeking clarity, you’ll find a calm and grounded environment that fosters growth and healing. For those who seek it, I also incorporate biblical truth and spiritual reflection as part of the healing process.

Typical goals I help clients work toward include improved self-awareness, stronger emotional resilience, healthier relationships, and a renewed sense of purpose. Ultimately, I want each client to walk away with not only insight but also the confidence to navigate life’s challenges with strength and hope.
